About Me

I am personally and professionally immersed in the wellbeing of children. I am a parent myself to 3 boys. I have over 25 years clinical experience and training serving children and families in a variety of settings, with over 15 years in private practice.

I am Co-Founder of The Epiphany School of Charlotte, an independent, non-profit school for students with social communication differences. I created the Purposeful Parenting Program. In short, I’ve dedicated my life to the service and pursuit of what helps children and families flourish.

I believe in using a positive, strength-based, skills-focused approach and evidence-based practices (EBP) to work with your child and you to achieve your goals. Our work is collaborative and solution-focused.

My Training and Clinical Work

My training and clinical work integrates the science and evidenced-based practices (EBP) of Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (M-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Positive Psychology, Structured Play-based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment and Systems Theories, Resiliency research and Neuroscience.

It brings me great joy to work with parents and children helping them to discover their inner superpowers, leverage their strengths to learn practical tools, tips, and techniques, so that they experience more confidence, happiness, and success in their friend and family lives.
